Uusi kirjasto - The new library

Nykyinen kirjastorakennus on valmistunut 6. elokuuta 2007. Arkkitehti Sanna Iltanen valittiin TTY:n projektityökilpailun kautta. Rakennus on puurakentamisen mallikohde ja siinä on käytetty mm. kuusta materiaalina ja luonnonmukaista maalia.

The new library building was completed on the 6th August, 2007. Architect Sanna Iltanen was chosen to design the building in a competition organized for the students of Tampere University of Technology . The building is an example of wood engineering and for example spruce and organic paint have been used in the building process.
